1 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device. They are unique to your account or your browser. Browser storage does a similar job: it keeps small pieces of information in your browser without sending them along with every request. BOLT XLR sets no cookies of its own. We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and this website also uses it to store your cookie choice. The third parties named below set cookies.
2 How BOLT XLR Uses Cookies and Browser Storage
We use cookies and browser storage for the following purposes:

3 What We Store
- Sign-In: Our sign-in provider, Firebase, uses browser storage to keep you signed in. What your role is allowed to see, such as job costs and payroll, is checked on our servers on every request.
- Stripe: When you sign up on this website or pay an invoice in the app, Stripe sets cookies to manage the payment session and ensure the security of your credit card data.
- Preferences: Browser storage remembers your sidebar, theme, and language choices. These stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
4 Third-Party Cookies
While we try to minimize third-party tracking, we use:
- Stripe: For payment processing and fraud detection.
- Google Analytics: Used on this website to count visits and see which pages and buttons are used. It sets cookies that tell one visit from another. We do not send it your name, email, or company.
5 Your Choices
The first time you visit this website, a banner asks which cookies and browser storage you allow. They fall into four categories:
- Essential: Always on. They make the site work, including the payment form on the signup page through Stripe, and they remember your cookie choice.
- Functional: Keep your Daylight or Night theme and your language between visits. When this is off, your theme and language still apply during your visit but are not kept, and any saved ones are cleared.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, which loads only after you accept Analytics.
- Marketing: No marketing cookies are set today. This choice applies to any Google advertising features we turn on later.
Until you accept, after Reject All, and whenever you turn the other three off in Preferences, only Essential is used. Closing the banner with its close button continues without accepting: only Essential is used for that visit, nothing is saved as your choice, and the banner asks again on your next visit. Google Analytics is not loaded, so no request is sent to Google and no Google Analytics cookies are set, and your theme and language are not kept between visits. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie Preferences in the footer or with this button: . Turning Analytics off removes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. However, if you limit the ability of websites to set cookies or use browser storage, you may worsen your overall user experience, as it will no longer be personalized to you.
Note: Since BOLT XLR is a specialized business tool, blocking cookies and site data will break the application. Most browsers block browser storage along with cookies, and you will be unable to log in or manage restoration jobs without it.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technology we use or in legal requirements. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised policy on this page.
