Equipment Tracking

BOLT XLR tracks every piece of restoration equipment by QR code. Each unit shows whether it is in the warehouse, on a truck, or on a job site until it is scanned back, and a job cannot close while gear is still on site unless someone with permission to force completion overrides the check.

QR Codes and Avery Labels

Each unit gets its own QR code, printed on Avery label sheets. Add the type and the serial number, set the drying role and the rated PPD and CFM, and the unit is ready to scan.

  • QR Codes and Labels. A QR code per unit on Avery label sheets.
  • Drying Equipment Specs. Drying role and rated PPD and CFM per unit.
  • Equipment List. Status, type, serial number, and filters.

Scan It Onto the Van and the Job

Scan units onto a tech's van, place them on the job by room, and scan them back when the job is done. Duplicate and unknown scans are flagged, so the record stays clean.

  • Load a Van. A unit on a van names the technician it is assigned to.
  • Place by Room. Every unit on the job is grouped by room.
  • Return by Scan. Scan each unit back when it leaves the job.
  • Barcode and QR Scanning. QR, Code 128, EAN-13, and Data Matrix with the phone camera.

No Gear Left Behind

A job cannot close while equipment is still on site unless someone with permission to force completion overrides the check. The Home dashboard counts units on job sites, on trucks, and in the warehouse, so missing gear shows up before it is written off.

  • Forgotten Gear Alert. A job cannot close while equipment is still on site unless someone with permission to force completion overrides the check.
  • Equipment Out. A Home tile with the units out right now.
  • Adjust Equipment Times. Correct placement and return times with a reason on record.

Equipment Days for the Estimate

Placement and return times become billable equipment days per type, room, and chamber, exported to CSV for the estimate. The equipment calculator checks what is placed against what each chamber calls for.

  • Billable Equipment Days. Exported to CSV for the estimate.
  • Equipment Sizing Warnings. Placed equipment is checked against the size of the chamber.

Common Questions

What labels does BOLT XLR print?

Avery label sheets, with one QR code per unit.

Can I see where a unit is right now?

Yes. Every unit shows In Warehouse, On Truck, On Job Site, or Returned, and a unit on a van or a job names the technician it is assigned to.

Can a job close with equipment still on site?

No. The job completion checklist blocks closing while any equipment is still on site or a protocol is still open. Only a role with permission to force completion can close it anyway.

Every plan includes QR equipment tracking.
