Biohazard Cleanup
The biohazard protocol records who entered each zone, which disinfectants were applied, what was removed, and where the waste went. It runs from the scene release to the certificate of completion, signed by the client.
Scene Facts and Release
Record the scene type, the incident date, and the release by police, a medical examiner, a coroner, or another agency, with the case number. Discretion settings such as unmarked vehicles show on the job for the crew and are never printed.
- Scene Types. Trauma, unattended death, crime scene, hoarding, sewage, or other.
- Work Authorization. Created from your template and signed by the client.
- Zones and Protective Gear. Hot, warm, and cold zones, each with the protective gear you set for it.
Crew Log
Each entry into a zone records who went in, the gear worn, and the time, and each exit records whether decon was done. Leaving a hot zone without decon is flagged in the log and the report.
- Who Entered. You, another user, or someone without a login.
- Gear and Decon. Gear worn on entry and decon on exit.
- Time In and Out. Entry and exit times for every person in every zone.
Disinfection and Removal
Record each disinfectant application with the EPA registration number, the dilution, and the contact time. Materials removed and items found are logged with where each one went.
- Disinfectant Library. Your products with their EPA numbers, and a flag on any product without one.
- Materials Removed. Quantity, room, and where it went, from regulated waste to returned to the owner.
- Found Items. Valuables and evidence recorded by category.
Waste Chain of Custody
Log each sealed container and each pickup with the transporter, the manifest number, and the facility. A load is complete once it has a manifest number or a destruction certificate.
- Containers. Red bag boxes, sharps containers, drums, and totes with weight and seal time.
- Waste Pickups. Transporter, registration, manifest number, and facility.
ATP Clearance and Completion
Clearance rounds include a baseline ATP before cleaning, a post-cleaning evaluation, and third-party testing. The report adds the scene and its release, the crew log, the disinfectant log, the materials removed and items found, and the waste chain of custody.
- ATP Clearance. ATP readings above your company's pass level are flagged.
- Certificate of Completion. Created and signed at the end of the job.
- Sensitive Photo Handling. Graphic photos are left out of the report unless you include them.
Common Questions
Who entered, the gear worn, the entry and exit times, and whether decon was done. It is meant for gear, decon, and work notes, not anyone's health.
Not unless you choose to include them. Mark a photo sensitive and the report leaves it out and says how many were left out.
Yes. Each sealed container goes on a pickup load with the transporter, manifest number, and facility, and the report prints the waste chain of custody.
Every plan includes the biohazard protocol.
